Cornering Harry
It occurs to me that Senator Harry, Sounds not like a boxer but something more airy; Soft-spoken, slender, thin as a Reid, Methinks hitten Harry might politically bleed. Bullshit he’s a boxer, that’s strictly PR, To make him look tough, a political star. So do tell us, Senator, tough man about town, How many toughs have you ever knocked down?
This ring stuff is phony, to make you look tough; Hey, show us some knockouts, simple enough? As a man in the ring, were you a hard hitter? Or like now in the Senate, a cowardly quitter? When you wore the gloves, a foe in your face, Did you run for your corner, quit in disgrace? It troubles me Harry that a guy who’s so tough Is so quick to give up, to say that’s enough.
So please tell us Harry, you tough former boxer, You a guy with cojónes, or a political foxer? Your problem, Harry, is you fail to impress The men with the stones to get us out of this mess. Who unlike yourself seek no personal glory, Whose names nor whose actions appear in the story, For whom victory in Iraq is their mortal goal Whom you would sell out, while selling your soul.
Truth is Harry, it’s all about George, Since beating Gore, he’s stuck in your gorge; Your Democrat heart’s filled with such vitriol That you’d let us lose, you’d sacrifice all For political payback, in truth, nothing more, You’d welcome America losing a war. You’re a man without honor, a man with no soul, The Devil is waiting with a damning dark hole.
Boxer, my ass, you’re a punk Harry Reid, Famed not for fighting, but treasonous deed.
