The Warrior fund - Latest News
Contributed by George Mellinger

Just after we began this blog we posted a banner for The Warrior Fund, a charitable organization raising money to defend Marines unjustly accused of crimes. Several of us also made personal contributions to this organization.

However, there were some initial problems with the payment mechanism which briefly called into question their bona fides. Within a numbe of days of pretty busy activity at both ends the misunderstanding was resolved, and we have been able to determine that contriubtions did indeed get to their intended target, and we posted the news that all appeared to be well.

Now I have a further update - more encouraging news. Here is the email stripped of formatting:

George,

I apologize for the delay in responding but I wanted to await resolution.

We have contracted with CardServices International to do our on-line contributions (www.unitedamericanpatriots.org) or www.warrior-fund.org

This became effective on 8/30/06 and, thus, replaces the PayPal account we have had so many, many problems with.  And it works very nicely now.

The email address, cinc-uap@triad.rr.com also works as advertised.

I appreciate your bringing this to my attention as, otherwise, we would not have been able to begin working on a solution.

Would you be so kind as to pass along this information?

Sounds to me like they have their problems solved. So drop them some extra money; our Marines still have a lot of harassment to deal with.
