More al Qaeda death porn Michelle Malkin

I don't need to see it, but in case you are one of those people who needs to be reminded how evil and bloodthirsty our enemies are, click on the photo for more images and video of al Qaeda's latest death porn production. Jawa Report has the lowdown. AP report here: An al-Qaida-linked group posted a Web video Saturday purporting to show the bodies of two American soldiers being dragged behind a truck, then set on fire in apparent retaliation for the rape-slaying of a young Iraqi woman by U.S. troops from the same unit.
The Mujahedeen Shura Council _ an umbrella organization of insurgent groups, including al-Qaida in Iraq _ posted another video in June showing the soldiers' mutilated bodies, and claiming it killed them. It was not clear whether the video posted Saturday was a continuation of that footage, or why it was released. ...
Video: Jihadis burn, drag Tucker’s and Menchaca’s bodies Allahpundit
I’m not allowed to post it. But this should give you a sense of the flavor. ... Rusty’s got screencaps and is willing to e-mail the video to anyone who really wants it. Inquire within.
This is worth posting too. Recognize him? ...
Things weren't crazy enough
Niece left her husband; don't know whose fault -- They neither one impress me a hell of a lot. Moved back to Lawrenceville, supposedly had a house lined up only it turns out she didn't. Gonna be staying here for a few days. 1 extra adult, 5 extra kids. Place wasn't crazy enough. Sometimes it's nice bein' damned near deaf. Turn my hearing aids down, sit in the corner and pretend they aren't here. 'Cept for Noah. Too little to understand "Uncle Bill's busy right now," too lovable to yell at. Gonna be an interesting few days.

To ice the cake I just found out my brother-in-laws changing to day shift, permanently, effective next weak. Gonna be just freakin' wonderful having him around every night.
Drive on, don't mean nothin', drive on
I don't make directly personal posts on OWD as a matter of private policy, but I'm crawling up out of a bit of a hole, and thought maybe others might benefit.
Every so often frustration and melancholy take me into dark places. Frustration with myself and/or frustration with the world. This song, while not about my war, echoes something told me by Nam vet while I was working on his VA claim. He'd been a tunnel rat with the 25th ID around Cu Chi. He was talking about the time one of his buddies was hit. I asked if he stopped, he said "Nah, I called for a medic, stepped over him and drove on." Wasn't callousness at work, just focus on what mattered that day. ...
Abbas: Back To Zero On Unity Government
Mahmoud Abbas will have to wipe the egg off of his face after his stunning announcement at the UN proved false. He now says that all efforts to form a unity government for the Palestinian Authority have returned to the drawing board when Ismail Haniyeh and the rest of Hamas refused to join if they had to recognize Israel's right to exist. ...
Big News: bin Laden dead; Bigger News: Ansar al Sunnah Head Captured! Dr. Rusty Shackleford
Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta today! First, bin Laden is reportedly dead. Or dying. Or whatever. In any event, I don't believe it. But it's the kind of rumor I dig. Thanks to everyone that e-mailed it to me. The way I read the report, though, was not that bin Laden is dead, but that he is very sick. (knock on wood either way)
But a much bigger story is that the leader of Ansar al Sunnah, Muntasir al-Jibouri, has been captured! This is big news. And unlike the bin Laden 'news', this one seems likely to be true.
We should be shouting for joy that the leader of Ansar al Sunnah has been captured. This should just as big as when we got Zarqawi. It is that important. ...

Video: Clinton flips out over Osama hunt on “Fox News Sunday”
He did try. Cruise missiles count as “trying.”
He just didn’t try hard enough.
Watch those eyes bulge. There’s a Legacy at stake here, and no one, least of all Chris Wallace, is going to jeopardize that.
Making the rounds by email. Thank you Cookie for sending it to me.
The Veterans Who Couldn’t Shoot Straight
A 501(c)(4) called VetsVote is the latest metamorphosis of a Dean-Kos attempt to create a pretense of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans opposing Republicans, a la Kerry’s 2004 campaign, that depends for its respect on simply being veterans regardless of facts.
Now, this Democrat front group has surfaced with a manifestly untrue and disreputable hit ad against George Allen in Virginia, and is intending the same hit ads against other Republicans. If one searches the IRS filings for this 501(c)(4), one will surely find the usual suspects.
James Webb, Allen’s Democrat opponent for U.S. Senator, earned respect for his Vietnam Marine service, war novel, and as Secretary of the Navy. He’s quickly losing it by his association with the extreme Left of his Democrat Party and their grossness and gross irresponsibility. Webb must quickly, clearly and emphatically denounce such scurrilous backers, or lose what respect he’s earned in the past. ...
Hazmat license fraud ring
Yes, it's worrisome (hat tip- LM): More than 200 Somalian and Bosnian immigrants illegally obtained Missouri commercial driver's licenses or certifications to handle hazardous materials through a West Plains truck-driving school that had a contract with the state, federal prosecutors said Thursday. ...
Even The British Can Diagnose Democratic Fecklessness
The fading fortunes of the Democratic Party in the run-up to the midterm elections have become common knowledge even thousands of miles away. Only a few weeks ago, Democrats confidently discussed the chair assignments in a House run by a Speaker Pelosi instead of a Speaker Hastert. Now that confidence has deflated, and even the Times of London can diagnose the bumblings of a national party with no real agenda: AFTER months of near-euphoria among Democrats and a growing certainty among pollsters that the party will win control of the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate in November’s midterm elections, doubts are beginning to creep in. ...

Citgo No Go?
Up until yesterday, I was unaware that Citgo is wholly owned by Venezuela's state-owned PDVSA. After Hugo Chavez' lunatic rantings about Bush being Satan and smelling sulphur at the UN podium at Turtle Bay this week, some CQ readers might find that fact ... interesting.
Mark Tapscott says that we might want to buy our gasoline elsewhere. My radio partner Mitch Berg notes that the Left wants us to buy all of our gas from Citgo. ...
