Have you forgotten? Five years ago today, someone--still unknown--sent letters laced with anthrax to the NYPost and NBC News. Two more letters, postmarked October 9, 2001, were sent to Sens. Tom Daschle and Pat Leahy with even more refined ("weaponized") anthrax:

The authenticity of the statement could not be independently verified.
The group said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the pope as "the worshipper of the cross" saying "you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. ... Our new store's kinda sorta ready to go except we don't have anything for sale yet. Need to work out a licensing deal on an image we want to use before we start selling things, haven't heard back from the guy yet. Reckon he took the weekend off or something? Guess now's the time to start telling me I messed up the color scheme and so on.
