TTLB finally loves us
Contributed by Bill Faith

It looks like I finally found the secret button to get the TTLB Ecosystem to admit we're here. Overnight we went from "Insignificant Microbe," rated # 55,xxx in the system, to "Large Mammal," rated # 535. The new ranking isn't entirely honest but it comes a lot closer to the truth than the old one did. Apparently the Ecosystem software isn't capable of treating Small Town Veteran, at http://smalltownveteran.typepad.com/posts, as a separate entity from Old War Dogs, at http://smalltownveteran.typepad.com/oldwardogs. I finally grokked what was going on last night and took Small Town Veteran out of the ecosystem altogether.  The ranking on our sidebar is for Small Town Veteran and Old War Dogs combined; as the dust settles on Small Town Veteran it will come closer and closer to reflecting just Old War Dogs. I think it's the best I'm going to be able to do. Sometimes it seems to take changes a couple or three days to ripple clear through the Ecosystem database and I'll be surprised if our numeric ranking doesn't climb a little as they do; I was in the top 500 blogging by myself at Small Town Veteran and I can't believe this blog won't get at least that high soon.
