Scott Johnson: Our current jam

Michael Ledeen knits together themes he has pursued regarding the war over the past three years in an excellent column for NRO: "The thirties all over again?" Here is one pointed paragraph:

The scary thing about our current jam is that 9/11 was supposed to have been the wakeup call, but we are again asleep. For this I blame our leaders — both the administration and the Dems. The administration is constitutionally unable to explain itself, and the Dems have no qualms about losing all present battles so long as they can elect their candidates and bring down this president.

Ledeen does not bother to note that our current jam includes the throbbing McGovernite heart of the Democratic party. Ledeen focuses on the White House and the "collection of frauds" beating within the heart of the Democratic Party:
