Re: Hmmm?

Having failed to come up with a suitable response to Zero's post on my own, I'll just let Allahpundit do the talking:

NYT suckers KP by carving up Rumsfeld’s speech

Zero, I know you linked to Military.com and not al-NYT, but I also notice their story says "Associated Press" right under the title. There's a transcript of what Rummy actually said at DefenseLink.mil. We may still disagree after you read it but I think for the sake of completeness you probably will want to do that.

***

I posted that and then looked closer and realized Zero and I are talking about two diffferent speeches. I still have to wonder if Zero's opinion would change if we could locate a transcript of the actual speech in question.

Bill, I noted that the quotes might have been out of context, but the larger issue is what to DO about it.

Endless rants about the 'unfairness' thing are next to useless. We should be aggresive. Is the administration simply not capable? I could continue to make my case... but maybe another post is in order?

To bring this over from my comment at Blackfive - Einstein observed this salient point when he said "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
