It's not all that complicated, folks.
John McCain wants to change DC, Barack Obama wants to change America.
One candidate believes in and cares about this country, one doesn't.
It's your vote. Make it count.

My Love's In Arizona
Contributed by Bill Faith

Email from Carol Gell Crowley about an important project I've promised to help as much as I can with. My long-time readers will remember Carol's name from the Sgt Jack Gell posts I did at Small Town Veteran. Others in the veterans community may remember her speech at the Kerry Lied rally in DC. Carol's father died in the Ia Drang valley in 1965. Now she's pouring her heart into a scholarship project for the children of this war's KIAs. Can this old dog get behind a project like that? Wrong question. Is there any way this old dog could not get behind a project like that? There, that's better.

3 AIRLINE EMPLOYEES:  Making it happen!

1. Captain Ed Terry- A pilot with a vision about a video, touched by moving those killed in action. His goal was making a difference and efforts to raise money for a scholarship fund for children of our fallen heroes. His heart was touched  and his spirit led to make this video. His efforts have been ongoing as he completes the job and is ready to launch it.

2. Marisa Thain- A talented A.R. Asst. in the Chief Pilot Office, moved by the meaning of the project and deeply understanding the value of those  men and women who gave all. Her grandfather was a fallen hero, and her generous and kind soul gave her the desire to be a part of this incredible journey.

3. Carol Gell Crowley- CLT Chief Pilot Office-  Youngest daughter of Sgt. Jack Gell, killed in Vietnam as told in the movie, "We Were Soldiers" starring Mel Gibson, Sam Elliot, and Madeline Stowe. (Book by Lt. Gen. (ret) Hal Moore and Joe Galloway).  Now a grown daughter who realizes the profound effects of losing a father to war, and the importance of going forward against all odds. Faith and a strong desire to help the future education of these kids is her driving force.

Three people who pulled together and are ready to present this video and touching story...

It began with Ed Terry's vision. He is a commercial pilot who flew home, some of our precious cargo, in escorted caskets. He was truly affected by this, and decided to do this project. Marisa Thain, plays the wife in the video, asked me to come film in AZ. We all work together...Ed did not realize that I was the grown daughter of a Vet, and it again touched him. Many doors have opened, and my heart led me to get involved. This project is heartfelt and done with patriotism and faith that we can make a difference! It's called, "My Love's In Arizona"

What a great idea. Do you mind if I borrow your short version to write a post over at DoD Daily News? I will also put it in my newspaper and my homepage. Thank you so much. God bless you.
