It's not all that complicated, folks.
John McCain wants to change DC, Barack Obama wants to change America.
One candidate believes in and cares about this country, one doesn't.
It's your vote. Make it count.

Meanwhile, on the other edge of the world ...
Contributed by Bill Faith

I'm ashamed to say I let yesterday pass without mentioning, or even realizing, that it was V-J Day + 61 years. 61 years ago Dad was on the USS Saratoga, CV-3, steaming Japanward, wondering if the Divine Wind would sweep him away like the man he'd replaced.  (I miss you, Daddy.) I took Mom to run a couple of errands yesterday. She commented on the fact the city had flags out on all the utility poles, etc, and said she thought it might be V-J Day but she wasn't sure; by the time we got home I'd forgotten the conversation.

The occasion did not pass unnoticed in Japan and the surrounding area. Don't miss Sachi's post here.
