A household in mourning, over a very small thing
Contributed by Bill Faith Rest in peace, Rosie. 2006.06.20 -- 2006.08.12. 46 days. In a month, a week, maybe a day, it's not going to seem nearly as important as what's happening in the Mideast, but right now it's important. We just lost a 46 day old puppy, the only one in her litter to survive more than a few days, for absolutely no apparent reason. My sister was giving her a bath, a perfectly routine things for puppies around here, and she quit breathing. It's going to seem strange going to the kitchen for a sandwich or a cup of coffee and not having her right under my feet wanting picked up and cuddled. I may or may not continue posting about other things later. Or, I may take some of my happy pills the nice man at the VA gives me and get several hours sleep. My apologies to the pack for things I'm putting off. I promise I'm not gone for good. |
