Comment period now open for Flight 93 memorial:
Keep the crescent-mosque off of the crash-site!

The Flight 93 Memorial Project has opened up a comment period (through August 14th) on whether it should proceed with its plan to build a slightly modified version of the original Crescent of Embrace design, or start over by adopting a No Action alternative.

Starting over is imperative because the Crescent design was, and still is, a plan to build the world’s largest mosque. For those who may be new to this controversy, I am posting a primer. For those who have already been following the memorial story, some startling new information is included.

[Read on here. Take your blood pressure meds first.]

Agghhhh!
This design is a slap in the face to all that died on Flight 93, and all Americans. If they thought there was an up roar over the initial design, just wait till they get a load of what’s heading in their direction now. Changes my arse, this is ridiculous and Jeff Rienbold should be removed as project manager and Paul Murdoch sent back to his drawing board in LA permanently. First they demand we remove the cross on a war memorial in San Diego and now this tribute to Islam. Looks like the war is closer to home this time dogs.

I don't appreciate their request for my private information but I gave them my 2 cents anyhow.

I want to see an appropriate memorial placed at that site. An Islamic crescent and star pointing towards Mecca is possibly the least appropriate symbol that could have been selected as a tribute to what happened on that day, to those people, and our nation. We already have people demanding we remove crosses from war memorials in San Diego and this is just another slap in the face of true heroes. That bird won’t fly.
Try again and give something to America that we can be proud of.
