Man Responsible For Killing, Mutilating Two U.S. Soldiers Dies

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A Jordanian who killed two U.S. soldiers last month was fatally wounded in a clash with security forces, a senior Iraqi official said Tuesday. Diyar Ismail Mahmoud, known as Abu al-Afghani, was identified as the killer of the two soldiers, National Security Adviser Mouwafak al-Rubaie told reporters. The two soldiers' mutilated bodies were found after they were captured in a clash near Youssifiyah, southwest of Baghdad.

I'd like this to be true but I'm skeptical. It seems just too convenient. How do we kow that the lat Diyar Ismail Mahmud was inded the killer of Tucker and Menchacha? One man mutilated and tortured both of them? Nobody else involved? Or was he the chief of the detachment which commited the atrocity? In that case, did he do any of the messy parts himself, or merely supervise and direct? Of coruse he did not act alone. So what about the others? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad this hog rectum is dead. But I don't believe the incident is closed and done. Its only beginning. Now let's reunite him with all his comrades in crime.
